It's been a while since I felt like blogging. Always felt kind of lazy. XD But now I really feel like I need to start updating my blog. It's been over a month since the Maroon concert in KL but I'm still just gonna blog about it. =P
I did not have any friends to go with so I was not planning to go for the concert. But a friend fromAdvertlets told me about a contest where I could stand a chance to win Meet & Greet Passes. (Yes I am a contest junkie. Everyone knows this.) I mean, it's Meet & Greet passes! Who would pass up a chance to get those?! Obviously it wasn't me. So basically I went to the Facebook fan page hosting the contest; Blin.gd. Basically the Grand Prize was a Meet & Greet Pass, 1 autographed album and 1 imported Maroon folder while 3 consolation winners would each get an autographed album. Regarding the contest mechanics, I had to tweet a text containing the necessary username mentions and hashtags on Twitter and get all my friends to retweet it. Not an easy thing to do when not many of my friends have Twitter. But anyway..... a few days before the concert.... I got a call!!
I won!! XD It's such a great feeling when you win something. I'm addicted. LOL. I wasn't expecting to win but.. yeah~~ v^_^v I got a call from Universal Music Malaysia on the day itself to find out how to get the tickets. And since it was in Shah Alam and I was afraid of the traffic jam I ended up there at around 4pm. I had to wait til 7-8pm to get the pass so I seriously needed to kill some time.
This T-shirt looked pretty decent so I decided to buy it. It's not any original merchandise but I just like the logo on the side of the sleeve.
As usually KT will always steal my iPad away from me when we have nothing to do. Haiz.. =_= So while he was playing games I had nothing to do for several hours. Therefore.... Picture time~~
This is the line at 4.30pm. You should have seen the lines around 7pm.
I was only suppose to get the Meet & Greet passes but luckily some how I ended up getting 2 free tickets to watch the concert! Lucky me. XD
After the Meet & Greet I had to rush to the concert area. Sadly I only got to hear The Cab (the opening act) sing one song. = (

When I heard about the MTV World Stage, I was contemplating on whether or not I should go. And then I saw this picture below! Know why I was excited? The prizes were Meet & Greet passes with Jay Park, Kara and Mizz Nina! Obviously I was aiming for Jay Park which I didn't get but I won the Meet & Greet passes to take a picture with KARA and free passes to the concert! Thank you Astro! *Muackz* So maybe I'm happy but sad at the same time. LOL. But I was literally jumping for joy after I got the phone call and my brother was staring at me like I was crazy. Maybe I am. = p
It was great meeting the girls and seeing them in person! Super pretty!

The MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 was held at Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon on 14th July 2012. MTV VJs Holly and Rich were there to warm up the crowd of 16,000 people who witnessed the performances of global superstar Justin Bieber, K-POP sensation KARA and Jay Park, and our very own local artist, Mizz Nina. The concert kicked of at around 6:30pm but the gates were opened at 3.15pm and there were already tons of people in line. I'm not joking, I was there. All packed together like sardines. XD

Justin Beiber made fans want to Die in HIS Arms
Justin Bieber opened the concert and performed his hit songs "Baby", "All Around the World", "As Long As You Love Me", "Die in Your Arms", "Be Alright", "One Time", "Never Say Never" and for the finale, "Boyfriend". Beliebers were both screaming their lungs out and crying their eyes out and the girls and boys (Yes, the boys too) loved it when he swiped his hand through his hair.

Kara's sexy moves drives fans wild
One of the hottest girl groups from Korean to bring the heat, Kara is made up of female members Park Gyu Ri, Han Seung Yeon, Goo Ha Ra, Nicole Jung and Kang Ji Young. The crowd thinned out a little after Justin Beiber's performance and the majority of the guys moved to the front when fans knew that Kara would be the next performance. You know how we knew? Because of the Disco Ball! XD

Clad in shorts and sparkly tops, the girls made fans (especially the guys) go wild. The korean beauties performed their latest hit "Step" before jumping into "Jumping", "Lupin", "Honey", "Let It Go" and "Mister" for their finale with the famous dance move.

After singing and dancing to "Lupin", the girls said "hello" to the crowd. Nicole was the member to do the speaking being the only one fluent in English and hearing that really made the fans go wild. As if their sexy dance moves did not make them go wild enough.

Mizz Nina sang "Just Do It", "Takeover", "Hit Me Up", "Rentak Yang Sama". "With You", "Summer Burning" and the ever popular "What You Waiting For?". The crowd was also thrilled by her vibrant backup dancers especially some girl who was next to me screaming "Dennis!" every single time she saw that dancer.

The extraordinary Jay Park
With his boyish good looks and explosive dance moves, Jay Park is definitely a force to be reckoned with!
Showcasing his rapping skills and dance moves, Jay opened his set with "AOM 1llionaire", followed by "Abandoned", and the Korean version of "Know Your Name". He then unveiled his new song "Carefree", a medley of "Nothing" and for the first time ever, we heard the English version of "Girlfriend". (I want to be his girlfriend! XD) He also performed "I Got Your Back", "Star", "Turn Off Your Phone" Do What We Do" and "Body2Body". His signature ab flashes and seducing dance moves throughout "Turn Off Your Phone" made of the girls, including me, scream with excitement.
After the concert, Jay Park tweeted "MTV WORLD STAGE...definitely an unforgettable night~!! THANK u MALAYSIA!!! THANK U MTV!!!"

I went for the Jayesslee concert at Dewan Wawasan, Menara PGRM last Saturday and it was such a great show! Totally awesome! If you do not know who Jayesslee is, they are comprised of Korean twins, Janice and Sonia, whom garnered followers from their cover of Tamia's "Officially Missing You" with currently over 12 million hits. You can also check out their latest cover of Payphone by Maroon 5 (which I so totally love by the way) garnered over 3 million hits within just 3 weeks.
And a big thanks to Advertlets for holding a contest to win tickets to see the twins live and super big thanks to my friend Shu Ni for her winning comment and all her friends and mine as well for voting. Thanks so much!
I arrived at the venue around half past 4 and there were already people waiting in line to enter the room.
They were even selling Jayesslee merchandise. Jayesslee T-Shirts for RM80 each, Jayesslee Posters for RM20 each and Light Sticks.
Finally got the complimentary tickets from Advertlets. Thank you very much. ^_^
Before the concert, they had a small press conference in the other room. Fans were screaming when they passed by to go into the room. Aren't they pretty?
Finally got into the hall. We ran as fast as we could to get the best seats. We were in the middle. v^_^v
First opening act was Alexis, Anthony and Phobe with "Rolling In The Deep". You can check out the video here at Alexis' Facebook page.
Next opening act Ming and Charis performing a mash-up of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" and Maroon 5's "Payphone". Check out their Youtube channels at dmingthing and charisowTV.
Third opening act was by Leon Marcus Zachary who performed a solo song called "Superhero" and later performed a duet of Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" with Miss Cheerio.
Dan dan dan!! Time for the twins to perform! The crowd went crazy with screaming fans.
Usually when you go into a concert like this, you would not be able to take any picture or videos especially with your DSLR camera. So the staff from Creative Central had to fasten our bags with cable ties. But the twins were so nice that they allowed us to take pictures and film the first 2 songs that they perform. I don't know why I can't upload the video, some technical problem. >_<

And you have got to love they way they sing Christian songs with so much passion and soul. You can't help but stop clapping and cheering and just listening to their voices and nothing else.
